Both the pin cushion and the Cupboard Hanger are stitched on 30 Count "Putty", courtesy of Weeks Dye Works, and stitched with "Used Brick" from Crescent Colours. This is one of my new favorite "reds". For the Cupboard Hanger we used "Merlot" Herringbone Felted Wool from Weeks Dye Works for the backing and the hanger. The hanger is embellished with our Olde Brass "Heart" buttons. How pretty would the pin cushion be lying in a bowl of dried rose petals. This isn't just for Valentine's Day.
Think of it as a wedding gift with the couples' names and wedding date on the back.
Simple, but so effective.
